False Memories started in 2015 upon an idea of guitarist Francesco Savino, who got together with Valentina Pucci, the first singer of the band.
In march 2016 the band reached its first goal publishing the first self-titled EP, featuring 4 original tracks and 1 cover.
Moving on the band’s soundscapes got more mature heading towards an intimate kind of variously influenced Dark Rock/Metal; driven by its new sound, the band started to work on its first full-length release that only featured original tunes.
“Chimerical” was released in January 2018 as the first self-published album co-written by Savino and Pucci. This LP featured eight previously unreleased tracks and three original songs of the debut EP, for a total of eleven original songs.
In october 2018, False Memories completed their line up with Rossella Moscatello at the voice, Gianluca Zaffino on bass and Giovanni Cattaneo on drums.
In 2019 the band signed a record deal with “ROAR! ROCK OF ANGELS RECORDS”, which worldwide releases a new edition of the “Chimerical” album, that features three bonus track sung by Rossella which also are the three singles from the album.
The band is currently engaged in live shows and in the realization of the new album whose sound is leaning towards a prog influenced “Dark Metal”. For this new album the composers are both Savino and Moscatello and the line up has seen a change since the arrival of the new drummer Emanuele Cossu and Moreno Palmisano as second guitarist.

 

I False Memories nascono nel 2015 da un’idea di Francesco Savino, che trova nella cantante Valentina Pucci la prima voce del progetto.
Nel marzo 2016 la band raggiunge il suo primo traguardo con la pubblicazione dell’omonimo EP autoprodotto “False Memories”, che raccoglie quattro brani inediti e una cover.
Le sonorità della band maturano, indirizzandosi artisticamente verso un Dark Rock/Metal contaminato e dalle tinte “intimiste”; su questa base il gruppo comincia a sviluppare il nuovo sound, lavorando alla stesura del primo full-length composto interamente da inediti.
Nel gennaio 2018 viene pubblicato sulle piattaforme digitali “Chimerical”, disco autoprodotto e scritto a quattro mani da Savino e Pucci, che subito dopo ufficializza la sua intenzione di abbandonare il progetto.
L’album contiene otto brani inediti, oltre a tre dei quattro pezzi presenti nel precedente EP, riarrangiati sulle tinte del nuovo sound, per un totale di undici canzoni.
All’uscita di Valentina Pucci corrisponde l’ingresso di Rossella Moscatello alla voce, Gianluca Zaffino al basso e Giovanni Cattaneo alla batteria.
Nel 2019 la band firma il primo contratto discografico con la label “ROAR! ROCK OF ANGELS RECORDS” che realizza e distribuisce una nuova edizione di “Chimerical” che, rispetto alla precedente, introduce tre “Bonus Track” cantate da Rossella e che costituiscono i singoli dell’album.
La band è attualmente impegnata nell’attività live e nella realizzazione del nuovo disco le cui sonorità si affermano in un “Dark Metal” dalle influenze “Prog” e che questa volta vede come autori Savino e Moscatello , oltre ad una line-up rinnovata in seguito all’ingresso del batterista Emanuele Cossu e del secondo chitarrista Moreno Palmisano.
